Leather Care

Leather is a natural and durable material that can last for decades if properly cared for.

To ensure the longevity of your leather, do the following regularly:

  1. Clean

    • Clean the entire item with a soft cloth or brush. Use a slightly damp cloth only if necessary.

  2. Condition

    • Use a specialized leather conditioner every 2-3 months, depending on usage (not on suede). Test on a hidden area first, then buff in circular motions into the material. We recommend HUEL's Leather Butter for a pearl finish but any trusted brand in a similar hue or clear will work. Allow to dry or buff for a shinier finish when using HUEL’s Leather Butter.

  3. Storage

    • Do not store in plastic as leather needs to breathe. Opt for breathable storage options such as a shoe box or dust bag.

    • Store away from direct sunlight to prevent fading.

    • Store away from artificial heat to avoid deformation.

Wear and Repair -

Extend the lifespan of your shoes

It is inevitable that your leather shoes will be exposed to rain, puddles, and other elements. While our leather goods offer a degree of water resistance, it is best to avoid water when possible. If your shoes get wet, pat away excess water and let them air dry at room temperature. Water stains when left untreated can become permanent.

It is best to wear your leather shoes every other day so the leather can dry between wears.

When the time comes and your cherished HUEL LEATHER shoes exhibit signs of wear and tear bring them to a trusted cobbler.
